Mary Alice Jolliffe (daughter of William Jolliffe, 4th Baron Hylton) and John Paget Chancellor. Through her mother's mother, Chancellor is the great-great-granddaughter of Prime Minister H. H. Asquith. She is second cousin, once removed of actress Helena Bonham Carter, also through her mother's side. Through her father, she is the great-great-granddaughter of the 12th Earl of Winchilsea and Nottingham. accepted into the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, but in her third year she became pregnant and dropped out. Her daughter, Poppy, was born in 1988. When her relationship with Poppy’s father, Jock Scott ended, she then married a cameraman, Nigel Willoughby, whom she had met in 1993 while shooting a Boddington's advertisement. In 2011, she took a role in the thriller serial The Hour, playing Lix Storm, journalist and head of the foreign desk. This was followed by roles in Pram Face and Fleming. She is also due to star in Drama film HOw I Live Now, due for release in October 2013.
