[ Six Degrees of Separation ]
The acting world can be quite an incestuous place... stars can work with the same actors/actresses on different projects. Here you can find out which stars have worked together on something other than Spooks.
- Matthew Macfadyen (Tom) appeared in an episode of Ashes to Ashes (1x07) which starred Keeley Hawes (Zoe). As did Rory Macgregor - he played Keeley's father-in-law in 2x05.
- Peter Firth (Harry) and Jenny Agutter (Tessa) starred together in the movie Equus. Peter recalls hitting on Jenny when they were on the road doing promotion for the film. After a few drinks he said to her, "Can you give me one good reason why we shouldn't go back to your hotel room?" Her reply? "I can give you several!"
- Nicola Walker (Ruth) appeared in The Last Train with Caroline Carver, who played Harry's daughter Catherine
- Hermione Norris (Ros) and Nicola Walker (Ruth) both had parts in A Mother's Son, but didn't have any scenes together.
- Peter Firth (Harry) and Rupert Penry-Jones (Adam) appeared on Top Gear together as the 'stars in the reasonably priced car'. Peter posted a lap-time of 1m 47.1s beating Rupert's 1m 48.1s.
- Nicola Walker (Ruth) starred in Law and Order: UK & Heading Out with Harriet Walter; Harriet played the government source who speaks to Adam in Spooks series 3, episode 3.
- They didn't have any scenes together in Spooks, but Anna Chancellor (Juliet) starred with Keeley Hawes (Zoe) in both Tipping the Velvet and Karaoke.
- Anna Chancellor also starred in an episode of Hustle with Robert Glenister (Nicolas Blake) and in Four Weddings and a Funeral with Nicola Walker (Ruth)
- Rupert Penry-Jones (Adam) presented Nicola Walker (Ruth) with her Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2013.
- Tom Weston-Jones (Sasha Gavrik) starred alongside Peter Firth (Harry) in the 2012 mini-series World Without End.
