Dimitri Levendis
Date of Birth: 17.03.1974
First episode: Series 6, Episode 5 Last episode: Series 7, Episode 7 Job: Junior Case Officer Status: Alive (active) Portrayed by: Max Brown Born in North London to Greek immigrant parents, Dimitri is ex SBS and has been recruited to Section D for his specific skills in the connection between piracy and terrorism. Dimitri's approach to being a spy is much more relaxed than Lucas’, although he's consistently brilliant at his job, he just likes to enjoy himself. He has a funny and warm personality and is determined, energetic, fearless and instinctive. Dimitri's laid back approach often rattles Lucas and Harry, but he consistently delivers the good and is shown to be a courageous and heroic agent, as well as an excellent spy. |
His first mission sees him face off Somali terrorists, who hijack a vessel with the intention of bombing the Houses of Parliament in London. The attack is stopped by the detonation of an EMP bomb beneath London. Following this, Dimitri serves as a field operative, assisting on numerous missions, frequently as armed backup.
Dimitri looks upon Lucas as a friend and mentor, and has a good relationship with other members of the team, particularly Beth, with whom he shares the experience of being new to the job. Lucas’ betrayal hits the team hard, coupled with the Beth’s decommissioning.
During series 10 he forms a very close bond with new section chief, Erin Watts, who affectionately calls him ‘D’. When he rescues her daughter, Rosie, after she is kidnapped by terrorists, Erin turns to him for comfort. Nothing is ever explicitly shown about the change in their relationship but the two of them are shown holding hands and embracing after Ruth's death.
Dimitri also shows an extremely strong loyalty to Harry even when the team leader decides to flout the rules to figure out who has ordered the attacks against the MI5 and Ilya Gavrik.
