First episode: Series 10, Episode 1 Last episode: Series 10, Episode 6 Job: FSB Agent Status: Unknown Portrayed by: Tom Weston-Jones Sasha Gavrik is the son of Elena Gavrik and Ilya Gavrik and a FSB officer. He comes to London as part of the Russian delegation. He first appears when he threatens Harry Pearce in his house because he has discovered that she was once a Cold War asset and believe Harry is still running her. Harry isn’t and realises that somebody is feigning as him to get top secret cold war information. At the end of the episode Harry reveals to Ruth Evershed that he and Elena were once lovers and that Sasha is in fact his son. In the second episode a fellow FSB officer tells Sasha that there was an unregistered mobile phone used in the Russian delegation’s hotel. Sasha immediately realises that it is mother contacting Harry and goes to her room to confirm. He gets her to give him the phone also telling her that she is a traitor and she has made him a traitor too |
He convinces his fellow officer not to report the phone by pretending he wants the glory of them finding the spy themselves and then he re-activates the phone and puts it in another minor staff's hotel room and puts the battery back in thus meaning it can be located. Unfortunately the other FSB officer smells a rat and locating Elena follows her to meeting with Harry. Sasha follows him and they fight and Sasha kills him. He blames Harry for him having to kill his friend.
He accompanies his mother to her meeting with Ruth Evershed and at the end tells Ruth that Harry must in future contact him with any information involving Elena. Harry obeys this and they meet. Harry tells Sasha that a CIA officer is running Elena but he refuses to tell him who because he doesn’t want him to kill any more people. Harry then tells Sasha that he will sort it and their paths need never cross again. As he walks away he turns back and asks Harry why he came himself when he could have sent anyone. Harry merely replies that there was no particular reason.
After Ruth obtains a laptop from the American embassy, Sasha steal it from her. Upon accessing the laptop he discovers that Harry is name in a document as his father.
In the final episode, he sees his father murder his mother and blames Harry. He goes looking for him, armed with a shard of glass. He finds him and threatens him, but as he moves to attack him, Ruth steps in front of Harry to protect him. Sasha accidentally stabs and kills her before being shot and disarmed by Dimitri Levendis.
